Laurens County Republican Party to Host U.S. Senate Candidate Forum February 10

February 4, 2026

As the spring primary season approaches, the Laurens County Republican Party continues its efforts to connect voters with candidates through a series of public events designed to inform and engage the community.

Residents are invited to attend a free candidate forum on Tuesday, February 10, hosted in partnership with the Lakelands Young Republicans. The event will be held at The Ridge, located at 301 Exchange Drive in Laurens, from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m., with doors opening at 5:50 p.m.

The evening will feature remarks from Mark Lynch, who is running in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. Lynch will share his perspective and vision, followed by a question-and-answer session and an opportunity for attendees to meet and speak with him directly. Complimentary coffee and cookies will be available.

Party leaders say the goal of these events is to encourage civic participation and provide voters with direct access to those seeking public office.

“We believe an involved voter is an informed voter,” said Valerie Stewart Jones, chair of the Laurens County Republican Party. “These forums give our community a chance to hear directly from candidates, ask questions, and better understand where they stand on the issues that matter to Laurens County and South Carolina.”

The Laurens County Republican Party has hosted multiple candidate events in recent months as part of its ongoing outreach ahead of the June 9, 2026 Republican primary.

The February 10 gathering is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend.
