Laurens County Republican Party to Host U.S. Senate Candidate Paul Dans

March 16, 2026

As the 2026 election season continues to gain momentum across South Carolina, the Laurens County Republican Party will host U.S. Senate candidate Paul Dans for a public meet-and-greet later this month.

The event will take place on Tuesday, March 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Laurens County Library. The free event is open to the public and will give community members the opportunity to hear directly from Dans and learn more about his campaign.

According to Laurens County Republican Party Chair Valerie Jones, the event is designed to give local voters an opportunity to engage directly with candidates seeking statewide office.

“We are pleased to welcome Paul Dans to Laurens County and provide our community with the opportunity to hear directly from him,” said Jones. “Events like this allow voters to learn about the candidates, ask questions, and become more engaged in the political process as we approach the upcoming election.”

Dans, a father of four, husband, and Christian, is widely known for his role as the Chief Architect and Director of Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation’s presidential transition initiative designed to prepare conservative leaders and policy strategies for a future Republican administration.

Before leading Project 2025, Dans built a career in law and government service. During the first Trump Administration, he served as Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under Dr. Ben Carson. He later served as White House Liaison and Senior Advisor to the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the federal agency responsible for human resources policy for more than two million federal employees.

He also served as Chief of Staff to the Director of OPM, where he worked on management and staffing across federal agencies.

During the Laurens event, Dans is expected to share his vision for the future of the country and discuss key priorities of his campaign, including defending the Constitution, securing the nation’s borders, protecting American freedom, and advancing policies focused on putting America first.

Residents from across Laurens County are invited to attend. Admission to the event is free. The Laurens Library is located at 1017 W Main Street Laurens.
