Laurens County School District 55 Welcomes Chief Financial Officer

Laurens County School District 55 (LCSD 55) welcomes Leann D. London, CPA (Certified Public Accountant), as the LCSD 55 Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As CFO, London will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial operations for the district. She will ensure fiscal integrity, transparency, and compliance with state and federal regulations, while supporting the district’s mission to maximize resources for student success. Her duties include serving as a key advisor to the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees.

London has a strong understanding of public-school finance. Her previous role was the Coordinator of Accounting/Senior Accountant/Accountant in School District 5 of Lexington and Richland Counties. She is well-versed in preparing annual financial audits and, on behalf of her district, received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award every year from 2013 to 2026.

London obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, in May 1992. She has over 30 years of experience in accounting. Her past roles include Staff Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant, and Internal Auditor at reputable institutions such as the Park Sterling Bank in Newberry, South Carolina, and Hobbs and Corley, PA, CPAs in Columbia, SC. London’s strengths include collaborative skills and technological savviness.

London stated, “I’m excited to begin my new role as CFO with Laurens County School District 55. I look forward to supporting students, staff, and the community in meaningful ways. As CFO, I hope to promote transparency, ensure long-term stability, and strengthen financial stewardship. I am pleased to collaborate with the leadership of District 55 to responsibly manage resources in ways that positively impact our students.”

London will officially start serving Laurens County School District 55 on February 2, 2026.
