Laurens County Sheriff’s Office K9 and Bloodhound Fundraiser Set for October 19th: Join the Community to Support Our Four-Legged Officers

October 16, 2024

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for its annual K9 and Bloodhound Fundraiser, set to take place this Saturday, October 19th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tractor Supply in Laurens. This family-friendly event is packed with exciting activities, vendors, and raffles, and will feature a highly anticipated K9 demonstration showcasing the skills and dedication of the Sheriff’s K9 and Bloodhound Teams.

Sheriff Don Reynolds emphasized the importance of this fundraiser, stating, “Our K9 officers are an invaluable asset to law enforcement, providing critical support in everything from search and rescue to criminal apprehension. The community’s participation and generosity make a huge difference in keeping these teams equipped, trained, and ready to serve.”

Proceeds from the event will directly support the Laurens County K9 and Bloodhound units, helping fund veterinary care, specialized training, protective gear, and necessary supplies for the dogs.

This year’s sponsors include Tractor Supply, Mike Curlee, Laurens Commission of Public Works, Laurens County Water and Sewer Commission, PRTC, and the O’Dell Corporation. Their contributions help make this event possible and underscore the community’s commitment to supporting law enforcement and their K9 companions.

If you’re interested in being a vendor or making a donation to the raffle, there’s still time to get involved. Reach out to Courtney Snow at 864-681-4509 or via email at [email protected] to participate.

Come out and enjoy a day of community fun while supporting the dedicated K9 and Bloodhound Teams that play a vital role in keeping Laurens County safe.
