January 7, 2026

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has released its 2025 Year in Review statistics, highlighting increased call volume, improved response times, and the continued commitment of deputies and staff to serving the community.

In 2025, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38,062 calls for service, an increase of more than 1,800 calls compared to 2024, when 36,216 calls were handled. Despite the rise in calls, the agency saw a decrease in average response time.

The average response time in 2024 was 18.46 minutes, compared to 17.40 minutes in 2025.

“It’s important to understand that the majority of calls we receive are non-emergent and do not require an immediate lights-and-sirens response,” said Courtney Snow, Public Information Officer for the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. “This statistic reflects an overall average across Laurens County’s more than 700 square miles. Emergency calls are prioritized, and response times for those incidents are significantly faster.”

Snow noted that the Year in Review numbers reflect the dedication and professionalism of the agency’s personnel.

“These numbers reflect the hard work of our deputies and staff and our continued focus on efficiency, accountability, and service,” she said.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to building trust, strengthening partnerships, and serving the people of Laurens County every day.
