Laurens County Sheriff’s Office to Host Back to School Bash July 25
July 16, 2025Free School Supplies, Games, and Fun for Families
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Laurens County DSS and Upstate Gathering Church, will host the annual Back to School Bash on Friday, July 25, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Upstate Gathering Church, 216 Independence Avenue in Laurens (formerly Hillcrest Baptist Church).
Although registration for guaranteed school supplies has closed, families are still encouraged to come out and enjoy the event. There will be plenty of vendors, activities for children, and even the possibility of extra supplies available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Families can look forward to a fun-filled morning with local vendors, snacks, games, a bounce house, and Big Air street games. In addition to all the activities, free school supplies will be distributed to registered children to help them head back to the classroom ready for success.
“Thanks to the generosity of our partners and the heart of this community, we are able to provide a morning of fun for families while helping ensure students head back to school prepared,” said Courtney Snow, Public Information Officer for Laurens County Sheriff’s Office. “Events like this remind us how fortunate we are to live in a county where people care and come together to support our kids.”
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Back to School Bash is another example of how law enforcement, churches, and local organizations are working together to serve families and ensure children in Laurens County are set up for a successful school year.
