February 6, 2024Inaugural Training Welcomes Officers from 13 Agencies for Internationally Renowned Program
The Laurens Police Department (LPD) is making waves in law enforcement with the inauguration of its cutting-edge training room. Last week marked a significant milestone for the department as they hosted a 4-day internationally renowned interview and interrogation training program by The Reid School, attracting over 25 officers from 13 agencies. The event was an opportunity to showcase their newly established state-of-the-art training facility.
Chief Grounsell expressed his enthusiasm about the new training room, stating, “The unveiling of our training room is a momentous occasion for the Laurens Police Department. We are dedicated to providing our officers and those from neighboring agencies with the best training opportunities available, and this room will play a pivotal role in achieving that goal. It reflects our commitment to excellence in law enforcement and community safety.”
The 4-day training, conducted by experts from The Reid School, focused on advanced interview and interrogation techniques, enhancing the skills of officers from various agencies. The event was a success, thanks in part to the spacious and technologically advanced training room that the LPD now possesses.
A special thanks goes to A3 Communications, the sponsor of the event, for showcasing cutting-edge technology aimed at improving justice procedures. The collaboration with A3 Communications allowed officers to experience and learn about the latest tools and equipment that can aid in effective law enforcement.
The LPD’s new training room is not only technologically advanced but also one of the largest in the state, capable of comfortably seating 65 people. This significant capacity makes it an ideal venue for hosting training sessions for city and county law enforcement agencies. Chief Grounsell extended an invitation to other departments, saying, “We are excited to share our resources with fellow law enforcement agencies. If your department is interested in hosting a training session, feel free to reach out to us. Our spacious training room is ready to accommodate your needs.”
The Laurens Police Department is committed to staying at the forefront of law enforcement training.
