Laurens YMCA to Host 25th Annual Reindeer Run to Support Youth Programs; Reminder to Register Now!

The Laurens YMCA is excited to announce the 25th Annual Reindeer Run 5K, a cherished holiday tradition that brings together community members for fitness, fun, and a worthy cause. Scheduled for December, this milestone event will support the YMCA’s Youth Scholarship Program, providing critical financial assistance to children across Laurens County. Funds raised ensure local youth gain access to essential YMCA programs that encourage growth, character development, and new opportunities.

Youth Scholarship Program Impact

The Youth Scholarship Program helps ensure every child has a chance to participate in activities such as youth sports, camps, swim lessons, and after-school care. These programs promote healthy living, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships. By joining or sponsoring the Reindeer Run, you’re directly contributing to these invaluable experiences for children who need them most.

Event Details and Registration Information

• Early Bird Registration: Register by November 24th for just $30 and secure your official race t-shirt. After November 24th, the registration fee increases to $35.
• Fun Run for Kids: Children ages 1-12 can participate in the Fun Run for only $5. (T-shirts are available for purchase separately before November 24th.)
• Team Discounts: Teams of 10 or more enjoy a 15% discount on registration fees.

Race Day Awards Include:

• First Place Overall Male and Female: $100 prize.
• Second Place Overall Male and Female: $50 prize.
• Age Division Winners: Special recognition for top performers in each age group.

• Level 1 – $35 (Individual/Family Sponsor): Includes a 24″x18″ in-ground yard sign and one race t-shirt.
• Level 2 – $100-$395 (Business/Organization): Name listed on the official race t-shirt and a 24″x18″ yard sign.
• Level 3 – $400-$595: Includes a small logo on the race t-shirt and a 24″x18″ yard sign.
• Level 4 – $600+: Features a large logo on the race t-shirt and a 24″x18″ yard sign.

Note: To have your name or business included on the official race t-shirt, sponsorships must be secured by October 31st.
