Laurens YMCA to Offer Free LIVESTRONG® Program for Cancer Survivors
August 19, 2025The Laurens YMCA will launch a new session of the LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA program this September, offering cancer survivors a free 12-week opportunity to regain strength, improve endurance, and rebuild confidence in a supportive community setting.
Meeting twice a week for 90 minutes, the program focuses on improving muscle strength, flexibility, and overall wellness. Participants will also benefit from the camaraderie of connecting with others who understand the challenges of a cancer journey.
“This program not only improves physical health but also boosts mood and provides food for the soul,” said Anna Miller, Director of the Laurens County Cancer Association. “It’s an incredible way for survivors to find strength—both physically and emotionally—in a supportive environment.”
Space is limited, and sign-ups are now open for the September session. For more information or to reserve a spot, contact the Laurens YMCA at 864-984-2626 or email [email protected]. Additional information about the Livestrong at the YMCA program can be found here.
