LC School District 56 – Special Election to Fill Seat 5

A special election will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 to fill the unexpired term for Laurens County School District 56, seat 5.
Running to fill the vacancy are Teresa G. Corley and Patrica Green.
Absentee voting is underway and those wishing to vote using the absentee process can do so by going to the Historic Courthouse on the square in Laurens (200 Courthouse Square), during the hours of 9-5 on weekdays.
Precincts eligible to vote in the election and the location for voting are:
- Joanna (usually at Joanna Woodson elementary) will be voting at the Joanna Assembly of God, 440 N Main Street for this special election only.
- Mountville – voting at Mountville Fire Department, 424 Mart Teague Road
- Clinton 3 – voting at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1387 Highway 56
Voting on Tuesday, October 5th will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.
