LC Touchown Club Announces Player of the Week – Kadon Crawford
November 6, 2023The Laurens County Touchdown Club is proud to announce that for games played on Friday Night November 3rd, the Player of the week is senior Linebacker/Wide Receiver Kadon Crawford of Clinton High School.
This marks the third time Crawford has won the Laurens County Touchdown Club’s Player of the Week in 2023.
Crawford was very instrumental for the Red Devils this past Friday and once again was all over the field on both sides of the ball in Clinton’s 1St Round Play-Off Victory over Palmetto High School. He made 6 tackles with 1 tackle for loss against the Mustangs. Crawford also caused a fumble and rushed the quarterback all night from his linebacker position. Offensively Crawford scored 3 Touchdowns on the night, 1 rushing and 2 receiving. He had 85 yards of total offense in Clinton’s 42-18 victory over Palmetto. Clinton now advances to the 2nd round to play Broome High School this Friday Night. The 2nd Round game will be played at Wilder Stadium and Richardson Field in Clinton.
Clinton Head Football Coach Corey Fountain says, “Kadon Crawford is a hard-working blue-collar kid, who gives you everything he has when he is playing, on both sides of the ball. Kadon is a vocal leader as well and he leads by example. There is not a kid on the team that is more competitive than Kadon Crawford.”
The Laurens County Touchdown Club will honor Crawford on November 16th at the bi-monthlyTouchdown Club meeting. The meeting will be at noon at The Ridge in Laurens. Player of the Week awards this year are presented by Farm Bureau Insurance of Laurens County.
The November 16th meeting will feature the South Carolina versus Clemson preview with formerUSC football great and NFL player Patrick DiMarco speaking for the Gamecocks and former Clemson University football great and now assistant coach of Tigers, Coach Danny Pearmanspeaking for the Tigers.
The Laurens County Touchdown Club meets every other Thursday throughout the football season at The Ridge located in Laurens at 301 Exchange Road and the public is invited. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. All meetings are at Noon with the food service line opening at 11:45 am.
