LCSO Celebrates Service and Community at Annual Employee Christmas Dinner
December 7, 2025The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office gathered last night for its annual Employee Christmas Dinner, an evening dedicated to reflection, appreciation, and fellowship among the men and women who keep the agency moving forward each day.
The event brought together deputies, staff, volunteers, and supporters for a warm celebration of another year of hard work and community service. The Sheriff’s Office expressed sincere gratitude to the many local businesses that donated door prizes for employees. Their generosity added a special touch to the evening. Riverside/Big Air of Laurens received special recognition as the sponsor of the meal, a contribution the agency deeply appreciates.
Sheriff Don Reynolds shared heartfelt words of appreciation for every division within the Sheriff’s Office, emphasizing that each employee plays a vital role in serving and protecting Laurens County. He commended staff for their professionalism, teamwork, and dedication throughout 2025, noting how proud he is of the agency’s continued commitment to excellence.
Chief Deputy Martin also took time to recognize the families who stand behind the agency’s deputies and staff. He reminded the audience that while their sacrifices may be unseen by the public, they are never overlooked by the Sheriff’s Office. “Behind every badge and behind every long shift is a family that supports the mission,” he said, expressing deep gratitude for their unwavering support.
The agency was also honored to welcome some of its trusted volunteers, including Steve and Debbie Landers and members of American Legion Post 25. Their willingness to assist whenever needed plays a vital role in community outreach and service efforts throughout the year.
A special thank-you was extended to all who worked behind the scenes to organize this year’s dinner, ensuring a memorable evening for everyone in attendance.

Citizen of the Year: Dianne Armstrong, honored for her dedicated volunteer work at the Laurens County Animal Shelter. Her efforts in promoting adoptable dogs, coordinating rescues, and providing compassionate care have made a tremendous difference.

Special Recognition: Caroline Barnard, Animal Shelter Manager, celebrated for her tireless commitment to protecting animals in Laurens County and ensuring they find safe, loving homes. She remains a daily advocate and voice for the animals in her care.
As the evening concluded, the Sheriff’s Office shared its appreciation for all who help make its mission possible—employees, families, volunteers, partners, and community supporters.
