Leading source for Charleston area visitors launches Traveler TV
April 18, 2016Traveler of Charleston magazine has launched a new online video series highlighting must-see landmarks and attractions in the Charleston area. Traveler TV debuted on YouTube on April 1 with three videos highlighting the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Waterfront Park and the Charleston battery.
The company publishes a quarterly visitor magazine, Traveler of Charleston, and an annual Traveler of Charleston Map as well as an extensive website of visitor information and an award-winning blog. Along with its social media networks, Traveler maintains “Exploring Charleston SC,” a free mobile app that uses a smartphone’s GPS technology and finds the nearest tours, attractions, restaurants and events, plus it has a public restroom and parking garage locator. The app is ranked No. 1 in both iTunes and Google Play for “Charleston, SC.”
“Our company is constantly looking for ways to showcase Charleston,” said Keith Simmons, who started Traveler of Charleston magazine in 2005. “With our magazine, website, mobile app and social media networks reaching thousands of Charleston area visitors, it made sense to expand into video. Charleston has such beautiful scenery and incredible history, and we wanted to highlight that in the power of video.”
Traveler TV videos are produced by Jay Wayne Productions.
