Lee Ann Simmons Promoted to Vice President and Compliance Officer

Columbia, S.C. – February 5, 2008 – First Citizens is pleased to announce the promotion of Lee Ann Simmons to vice president and compliance officer. Her responsibilities include insuring the bank is in compliance with all deposit regulations, monitoring and performing target reviews for each deposit regulation, and implementing any changes in the state or federal laws pertaining to deposit products. Simmons has been with the bank since 1997.
