Legal industry veteran publishes marketing guide for purposeful growth

September 28, 2017

In her highly anticipated first book, Intentional Marketing: Building Your Legal Practice One Relationship at a Time, veteran marketing executive Brenda Stewart of Stewart Marketing and Consulting demystifies the marketing process for lawyers. Drawing on the knowledge and insights of a nearly 30- year career inside law firms, Stewart lays out the tools needed to develop a marketing strategy that will help lawyers grow their practice.

“I’ve worked with law firms of all sizes, and the challenges they face with marketing and business development can be daunting,” said Stewart. “With increased competition and pressure to grow their practice, lawyers need to be intentional in their marketing efforts, making the most of each opportunity.” The book is designed to be a resource for lawyers, regardless of experience level, practice area or size of firm.

“Business development is about creating authentic relationships,” said Stewart. The book outlines common scenarios and provides tactical examples to help lawyers become more intentional about their business development efforts.

Before starting her own practice, Stewart spent decades serving in executive level positions inside law firms, culminating in her role as director of marketing and client services for Smith Moore Leatherwood. Since 2011, Stewart has worked independently with firms across the Southeast. She is a frequent speaker at firm events, a member of the Legal Marketing Association, and a non-lawyer member of the Commission on Lawyer Conduct, an appointment by the Supreme Court of South Carolina.

Just released, the book is available for purchase on her website and Amazon.
