Lennar’s Sam Sparks to Lead Coastal Carolina Division

CHARLESTON, SC – August 1, 2012 – Veteran homebuilder Sam Sparks has been named Division President for Lennar Homes, Coastal Carolinas division. Sparks assumes leadership of the Coastal Carolinas division after relocating to Charleston from Atlanta where he was Regional President for the Southeast region of Lennar.
Sparks is responsible for all aspects of operations for Lennar in the Coastal Carolinas, which includes, Charleston and Myrtle Beach areas. Regarding his appointment, Sparks says, “It is an incredible honor that Lennar has asked me to lead the many fine associates of the company in our Coastal Carolinas division. Charleston is an amazingly exciting city, both from a cultural standpoint, as well as a housing market. I believe Charleston and Myrtle Beach are both poised for incredible growth in the near future, and it will be exciting to play a part in that growth.”
Lennar Homes currently has seven communities in Charleston and four communities in Myrtle Beach. Regarding his agenda Sparks stated, “We intend to be a major purchaser of land and homesites in both Charleston and Myrtle Beach.”
Sparks is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a graduate of Georgia State University and holds a law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law, both in Atlanta. He is a Member of Georgia Bar Association and holds the rank of Major, Civil Air Patrol. After his wide-spread responsibilities which kept him on the road across the southeast, Sparks and his wife are “ready to enjoy each other and the many fine things that Charleston has to offer.” Sparks has been a part of the Lennar management team since 2006.
