Lexington Chamber receives Communication Excellence Award for 2021 Visitors Guide

The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center received a 2021 Communication Excellence Award from The Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) during its Staff Leadership Development Conference held Thursday via Zoom.
The award was given in recognition of the Chamber and Visitors Center’s 2021 Lexington SC Visitors Guide, a 10,000 circulation guide 
that leads visitors to the unique aspects of the community. Visitors can receive a digital version of the guide at http://www.lexingtonsc.org/lexington-sc-visitors-guide.
This is third Communication Excellence Award the Chamber has received. The Chamber has earned awards for its advertising and marketing efforts in 2018 for its Lexington Craft Beerfest and in 2020 for the inaugural Dining On The Dam.

The Communication Excellence Awards recognize outstanding communications efforts by chambers of commerce in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Communications were recognized in the following four categories:
- Advertising & Marketing
- Campaigns
- Electronic
- Publications
One award was presented to the highest scoring chamber in each of the four categories based on the following chamber sizes:
- Under 700 members, or
- Over 700 members
Entries were judged based on originality, design and quality, and results achieved. The entries reflected communication efforts taken or completed during the past 18 months.
