Lexington County announces open house meetings for transportation improvement plan
March 3, 2026The Lexington County Department of Public Works invites residents, businesses, and stakeholders to attend a series of Open House public meetings as part of the development of the Lexington County Transportation Improvement Plan.
What is the Transportation Improvement Plan?
The Transportation Improvement Plan is a long‑range effort focused on preserving and enhancing Lexington County’s transportation system to improve traffic flow and overall mobility. 2026 traffic conditions will be summarized and potential 2050 traffic conditions will also be summarized.
How the Public Can Get Involved
The Open House meetings provide an opportunity for residents, businesses, and stakeholders to learn about the Transportation Improvement Plan and share input on future transportation needs. Public feedback will help guide transportation priorities and investment decisions throughout Lexington County.
In addition to attending an Open House meeting, residents can participate by completing the confidential project survey and reviewing project materials on the project website, link below. Feedback collected through these engagement activities will be considered as part of the final Plan.

The Open House format allows attendees to review project information, ask questions, and provide feedback directly to the project team in an informal setting.
