Lexington County Public Library to offer amnesty for charity!

November 5, 2018

Lexington County Public Library will waive late fees for overdue materials that are returned during a special Amnesty Week to be held November 11-17, 2018.

Patrons who return current overdue materials with a donation of non-perishable food items to any of our 10 library branches during Amnesty Week will have the fines for those overdue items waived. All food donations will go to Mission Lexington.

Waiving overdue fines not only brings back materials to be shared with others but clears your slate to borrow more.

No fines? No problem. Your donation is still welcome and helps Mission Lexington fill nutritional needs during this holiday season.

Throughout the year, public librarians and library staff help parents and caregivers save hundreds of dollars on educational resources and services for students. Your library card provides free access to:

• Books

• DVDs

• Audiobooks

• Computer and internet access

• Online databases including free learning tools*

• Downloadable ebooks, magazines and audiobooks

• Streaming music, television and movies

• Technology training

• Programs for children, teens and adults
