Lexington Medical Center Earns 52 Prestigious National Marketing Awards
May 21, 2014WEST COLUMBIA, SC – Lexington Medical Center’s Marketing department has won 52 national and international marketing awards that honor outstanding advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns. The honors include Aster Awards and Healthcare Advertising Awards.
Lexington Medical Center won 20 Aster Awards, a medical marketing awards program with entries from across the nation and world. Importantly, Lexington Medical Center received a “Judge’s Choice” award for the campaign surrounding the hospital’s “Honor Flight.” In May 2013, Lexington Medical Center sponsored an Honor Flight to take 70 Korean War veterans and 30 World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the monuments and memorials that honor their heroic service. Out of 3,000 entries, only eight received a Judge’s Choice award. Those award winners represent the highest scoring entries in the competition. As a Judge’s Choice winner, the Honor Flight campaign will be featured in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national magazine. In addition, the hospital earned 7 “Gold” awards, 10 “Silver” awards and 2 “Bronze” awards for campaigns ranging from its heart health calendar to its cancer patient materials and Christmas commercial.
And, Lexington Medical Center won 32 accolades in the Healthcare Advertising Awards, a health care marketing and advertising awards program that judges entries on quality, creativity and message effectiveness. The hospital received a Best of Show award for its Cancer Services print advertising campaign series. Out of 1,465 entries, only 19 received a Best of Show designation. According to competition organizers, these entries exhibited the highest standards, creativity and professionalism – capturing the attention and admiration of the judging panel. Best of Show winners were congratulated for their exceptional contributions. Additionally, more winning campaigns from Lexington Medical Center in the competition included the hospital’s projects for cardiovascular care, cancer, surgery, social media and blogging.
