Lexington One announces transfer

LEXINGTON, SC – At a Special Called Board Meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees held August 8, 2014, the board approved the transfer of Jacob W. Nelson to Gilbert High for the 2014–2015 school year.
Nelson, who currently serves as assistant administrator of Carolina Springs Middle, assumes the role of assistant administrator at Gilbert High.​​
With six years of public education experience, he began his career in 2008 as an English language arts teacher at Pickens High. In 2012, he joined Lexington One as an English language arts teacher at Lexington High. He was promoted to assistant administrator at Lexington High and moved to his current position at Carolina Springs Middle in 2013.
Nelson earned a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from Clemson University and a Master of Education in educational administration from the University of South Carolina. He has English language arts and secondary principal certifications.
He is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
