Lexington One promotes employees to executive directors
May 6, 2024At the April 30 meeting, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the promotion of Jim Jett to fill the vacant executive director of operations position and Matthew McCormack to fill the vacant executive director of student services position.
Jim Jett currently serves as the district’s coordinator of construction and has worked with Lexington One since 2017. Before joining Lexington One, Jett worked with M.B. Kahn Construction Co., Inc. for more than 16 years, working as a site manager for various construction projects across the state. He graduated from Miami-Dade Community College in Miami, Florida, in 1996 and from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 2002.
Matthew McCormack has served as the district’s coordinator for student administration since 2017. McCormack began teaching in 2005 at White Knoll High School as a mathematics teacher, before joining A.C. Flora High School as a teacher in 2009. At A.C. Flora, he was promoted in 2010 to dean of students and again in 2011 to assistant principal. In 2014, McCormack returned to Lexington One, joining the administrative team at Lexington High School as assistant principal. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education in educational administration.
