Lexington One receives national school communications awards
June 25, 2015LEXINGTON, SC — Lexington County School District One earned seven 2015 National School Public Relations Association School Communications Awards. The awards program honors successful public relations activities, programs, projects and campaigns that promote public education.
The Lexington One Communications Office received four Golden Achievement Awards recognizing their exemplary work. The district’s winning entries include the “Dream Big — Making Dreams Reality in Lexington One” Video Series, the “Hats Off to our Retirees!” Banquet, an InfoSnap Online Student Registration Rollout Communications Plan and the Schools of the Future — Now! Communications Plan.
The “Dream Big — Making Dreams Reality in Lexington One” Video Series showcases successful Lexington One graduates and highlights the importance of public school education. The “Hats Off to our Retirees! Banquet celebrated and honored all Lexington One retirees for the 2013–2014 school year. The InfoSnap Online Student Registration Rollout Communications Plan was a comprehensive plan that included educating and informing staff and parents about the new online registration tool. The Schools of the Future — Now! Communications Plan explains the district’s strategic direction, including the vision of the 21st century graduate and redesign of the system of learning.
The Communications Office also received three honorable mention awards in the Publications and Electronic Media Contest. The awards recognize outstanding education publications, marketing and informational materials, videos, social media and websites.
The district’s entries selected for honorable mention include the 2014 Lexington One Electronic District Holiday Card, the Lexington One Elementary Personal Mobile Computing Guide and the Lexington One Kid Superintendent video.
The Lexington One Communications Office staff includes Chief Communications Officer Mary Beth Hill, Communications Director Becky Bean, Communications Coordinator Kelly Coakley, Graphic Designer Caitlin McCullough and Media Production Coordinator Rob Starkey.
