NOMA’s Annual Holiday Event In Its 5th Year With Expanded Offerings!

NOMA Business Association and Peak Drift Brewing Company are proud to present the 5th Annual Light Up NOMA & Cookie Crawl–sponsored by Chavis Painting–with expanded offerings all day long in the N. Main Street corridor!

In 2019, the NOMA Business Association decided to start an annual holiday event that would celebrate the rich tradition of the holidays and diverse businesses and neighborhood culture on N. Main Street in the NOMA District. Light Up NOMA & Cookie Crawl celebrates the culture, beauty and spiritual essence of the N. Main Street community and the best place to be in Columbia during the holiday season.

This annual fundraiser has evolved into a day-long community event nestled along N. Main Street and Monticello Road. Start the day having breakfast with Santa Claus, then watch the Light Up NOMA Parade featuring Grand Marshal City of Columbia Councilwoman Tina Herbert, shop for gifts at the Holiday Market, peruse the Neighborhood Holiday Showcase and vote for the best decorated wreath or tree, eat your way through the N. Main district at the NOMA Cookie Crawl and finally the NOMA tree lighting will culminate the event!

“The NOMA district has a wonderful opportunity for everyone to celebrate the holiday season,” says Sabrina Odom Edwards, executive director of the NOMA Business Association. “We have expanded the NOMA Cookie Crawl into an all-day affair this year with more activities to really show off the N. Main Street community and what it offers Soda Citizens. We are so excited to host this family-friendly holiday event for the fifth year!”

Proceeds from the event affords the NOMA Business District to offer events and gatherings throughout the year to promote its merchants and the district for all of Columbia and the Midlands community.
