Light up the night at NEON Joy in Five Points!
November 11, 2025Five Points shines bright with a night of lights, music, and holiday cheer on Friday, November 21
The holiday season in Columbia officially kicks off in Five Points with NEON Joy, a free, family-friendly celebration filled with festive lights, live performances, and local cheer. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes a free spectacular laser light show that will illuminate the village with color, music, and holiday magic at 6:30 pm in the Five Points Postcard Mural Lot.
Guests can also enjoy community performances throughout the evening from:
- A.C. Moore Elementary Bobcat Choir
- Brookland-Cayce High School Band
- Dreher High School Marching Band
- FMS Dance Ensemble
- The Cocktails, all-female a capella group, University of South Carolina
- and more!
From 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., be sure to visit Santa & Mrs. Claus for free photos at the Hootie Monument, while the streets of Five Points come alive with holiday activations, live entertainment, food and beverages, and extended shopping hours from participating merchants.
“This is only the second year for NEON Joy, and we’re thrilled to see it growing into such a special holiday tradition for our community,” said Heather McDonald, Executive Director of the Five Points Association. “It’s a chance to celebrate the season together, showcase the incredible energy of the Five Points district, and enjoy a night that’s truly for everyone, families, neighbors, and visitors alike.”
