Linious Martin Sauls IV named to SCDOT commission
March 31, 2026The South Carolina Department of Transportation is announcing the swearing in of Linious Martin (Marty) Sauls IV to its Commission. Sauls, of Jasper County, was appointed by Governor McMaster and was recently unanimously confirmed by the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives.
Commissioner Sauls previously served in a variety of leadership roles including as the Chairman of Jasper County Council, a current member and previous Chairman of the Jasper County Chamber of Commerce, and as a past Chairman of the Southern Carolina Alliance Executive Board.
Sauls also served on the Coastal Carolina Hospital Board of Directors, the Savannah River Maritime Commission Board, the Bluffton Jasper Volunteers in Medicine, and co-Chaired the American Heart Association of the Lowcountry.
Sauls said, “I am honored to serve on the South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission representing the people of the 6th Congressional District. SCDOT maintains a large highway network, and I look forward to helping lead the vision for transportation in South Carolina connecting people to jobs, education, healthcare and visits with family as they travel our beautiful state.”
Sauls and his wife Anissa live in Ridgeland, South Carolina and have three children.
Sauls will represent the 6th Congressional District.
