Little Bee Bun Mee & Tea Company plans to make changes to menu

Since its opening in July, Little Bee Bun Mee & Tea Company has introduced exciting new additions to its menu. Located at 904 Knox Abbott Drive, the Vietnamese-infused restaurant shares the only locally owned, open-dining concept alongside Columbia favorite, Duke’s Pad Thai. Guests can order and dine wherever they please, making it a first for the hospitality scene in Columbia. Little Bee Bun Mee has featured a variety of different dishes, ranging from traditional Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches to poke bowls, boba teas, and even convenient grab-and-go options.

Although the Bahn Mi concept may not be widely recognized in the Columbia community, and the traditional Banh Mi sandwich could seem intimidating, Little Bee offers approachable options like the Honey Teriyaki Chicken sandwich and the Chicken Bacon Melt sandwich, all served on the classic banh mi bread. Pivoting to better serve its community, Little Bee Bun Mee plans to broaden its menu by introducing a selection of warm dishes such as soups, noodle salads, and new flavors of boba teas, while removing sushi rolls from its offerings.

“My goal is to develop a menu that changes with the seasons and complements Duke’s and Little Bee,” states owner Noi Souvanna. “Our brand specializes in spotlighting fun and casual eateries that are known for their delicious food and laid-back atmosphere.”

With the enormous success of Duke’s Pad Thai, branching out to a new concept was an exciting venture for the Souvanna’s. Duke’s Pad Thai, the Souvanna’s first debut in Cayce, South Carolina, opened in 2017 offering a diverse menu of traditional dishes including stir fry and noodle dishes to street food eats and tacos. Together, the Souvanna family has created two casual places to gather around good food and company, as well as expanded to online ordering this year for both concepts. Their culinary knowledge has earned the family-run restaurants multiple awards and recognition in local and national publications. The Little Bee Bun Mee staff and the Souvanna’s are immensely proud of the support received.
