Live It Up: Adventure Week 2026 Returns to Brookwood Church this June
April 3, 2026One of the most anticipated summer traditions in the Golden Strip is officially on the calendar. Brookwood Church has announced that Adventure Week 2026 will take place from Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11, transforming the Simpsonville campus into a high-energy hub of worship, games, and music for local children.
Under this year’s theme, “Live It Up!”, the program is designed for children who have completed Grades K5 through 5th Grade, offering a Christ-centered environment where kids can build friendships and explore their faith in an engaging, active setting.
Energizing Mornings
Adventure Week is far from a traditional vacation bible school. The four-day event is known for its high-production value, featuring professional-grade sound and lighting, live worship bands, and coordinated dance routines.
-
Daily Schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
-
Themed Days: To keep the energy high, each day features a unique dress-up theme:
-
Monday: Party Animals
-
Tuesday: Luau
-
Wednesday: Tribe Spirit Day
-
Thursday: Neon Day
-
Inclusion for All: Special Friends
True to Brookwood’s mission of radical hospitality, Adventure Week includes a dedicated track for Special Friends. This program ensures that children with special needs have the support and modifications necessary to fully participate in the music, crafts, and games alongside their peers, paired with trained “buddies” to assist them throughout the morning.
A Call for Volunteers
An event of this scale—which traditionally hosts over a thousand children—requires a massive team of volunteers. Registration is currently open for:
-
Adult Volunteers
-
Student Volunteers: Currently in Grade 9 through Grade 12.
-
Middle School Helpers: Students in Grades 6–8 may also serve if a parent is volunteering on-site.
Volunteers receive specialized training (scheduled for May 31 or June 2) and are provided with breakfast in the Café each morning starting at 8:00 a.m.
Registration Details
Registration is now officially open through the Brookwood Church website. Parents are encouraged to sign up early, as the event often reaches capacity weeks before the June start date.
-
Cost: $35.00 per child (includes a T-shirt, water bottle, bag, and daily snacks).
-
Volunteer Discount: Parents who sign up to volunteer first are eligible for a discounted rate for their participating children.
-
Packet Pickup: T-shirts and parent security packets will be available for pickup on Sunday, June 7, in the Balcony Room.
For families looking to get a head start on the music, Brookwood has already released the Adventure Week 2026 playlist on Spotify and Apple Music, allowing kids to learn the lyrics and choreography before they ever step into the auditorium.
