Local assisted living provider launches new networking and support groups

January 31, 2026

The Landings of Georgetown and the Crossings of Georgetown are excited to announce the creation of two new  groups designed to help caretakers and businesses that specialize in helping senior populations.

On the first Thursday of the month at The Crossings of Georgetown, there is a new networking group focused on caring for and providing services for seniors, including financial institutions, home health, in home care, adult day care, hospice, local physicians and anyone in the community interested in networking and expanding their footprint. The Crossings of Georgetown is located at 2628 N. Fraser Street.

“We’re all here to provide seniors with the best care possible while preserving their dignity. It’s extremely important to share our resources and have them readily available,” explained Robyn Foulsham, sales manager at the Crossings and Landings of Georgetown. “Businesses need to come together to build a stronger network to help because some seniors don’t have family support. Some are all alone. It’s our job, as caregivers in the senior community to provide that support and hopefully this group will help us better connect available resources.”

Beginning the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm, there will be a Memory Care Support Group at The Landings of Georgetown. Led by Shelley Brown, BSW, CRCFA, Director of Senior Solutions and a Certified Dementia Practitioner, this group is open to anyone in the community who is taking care of a loved one with a memory-related diagnosis.

“Caring for someone with memory loss can feel overwhelming and we don’t want people to feel like they have to do it alone,” Foulsham added. “By establishing this Memory Care Support Group we hope to provide a safe, welcoming space to share experiences, gain practical guidance, and connect with others who understand the caretaker’s journey.”
The Landings of Georgetown is located at 2563 N. Fraser Street. For more information, call 843-932-9040.
