Local Financial Advisor, Michael Oana Wins Prestigious Award

Membership in the President’s Club is awarded only to the firm’s top financial advisors based on their revenue during the prior year.
Michael J. Oana, Chief Investment Officer, Team Oana Investment Advisors, whose office is located in Columbia, South Carolina, has over 15 years of experience helping clients achieve their financial objectives by providing investment advice and financial planning services. Mr. Oana attributes much of his success to a hands-on approach in gaining a complete understanding of each client’s investment objectives, and then tailoring the most appropriate strategies to realize those goals. Mr. Oana currently has around 236 client families.
He attended the University of South Carolina and graduated in only three years with degrees in both management and marketing. After graduation, Mr. Oana turned his internship at Merrill Lynch into a full-time position, and ultimately rose to the position of Assistant Vice President of the Columbia, South Carolina office.
After 12 years with Merrill Lynch, Michael left to start his own investment firm, Team Oana, which specializes in working with retirees and business owners. Michael holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 Securities Licenses and is licensed in several states, in addition to holding an Insurance License in South Carolina.
During his many years in the investment industry, Michael has been honored with numerous awards, including being named in The State Newspaper’s “Top 20 Under 40” Club for 2008.
