Local retirement and wealth manager makes her literary debut with “No One Owes You Anything: How to Look Out for Yourself in Retirement”

Local retirement and wealth management professional Rebecca Kincaid is stepping beyond the world of finance to share her wisdom in a bold new way. With the release of her debut book, “No One Owes You Anything: How to Look Out for Yourself in Retirement,” Kincaid delivers an empowering and practical guide for individuals approaching or navigating retirement, encouraging readers to take ownership of their financial futures with confidence and clarity.

A Georgia native and longtime Greenville resident, Kincaid brings over two decades of experience in financial planning, insurance, and retirement strategy to her writing. She began her career in the insurance industry in 2000 and became an Investment Advisor Representative furthering her ability to help clients in 2018. Over the course of her career she has become a trusted resource in retirement income planning, life insurance, long-term care, and tax-efficient strategies. Kincaid holds her Series 65 securities license, property & casualty, life, and health insurance licenses, and earned her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation through The American College in 2010.

“No One Owes You Anything: How to Look Out for Yourself in Retirement” is an honest, down-to-earth look at the realities of retirement planning in today’s world. Through relatable stories, financial insight, and heartfelt advice, Kincaid reminds readers that the key to a confident retirement lies not in entitlement but in empowerment. The book guides readers to take personal responsibility for their money, their mindset, and their future—offering a roadmap for building financial independence and confidence.

“I wanted to write this book because I’ve seen too many people enter retirement unprepared—financially and emotionally,” says Kincaid. “Retirement isn’t something that just happens to you. You have to plan for it, preserve it, and own it. My goal is to help people feel equipped and encouraged to do just that.”

Originally from a sweet potato farm in south Georgia, Rebecca and her husband, Pate, moved to Greenville in 2012. What began as a reluctant move quickly became home, as she fell in love with the community and family-centered lifestyle. When she’s not working with clients or writing, Rebecca enjoys time with her husband and their three children—Finley, Ava, and Temple.
