On February 22, Adam Morgan, local businessman and attorney, announced his candidacy to the media for the South Carolina House of Representatives District 20 seat currently held by Representative Dan Hamilton. Morgan is the first candidate to have formally announced his candidacy for the District 20 seat.
“I’m an attorney who left the practice of law to run a family business in the private sector. I believe in South Carolina— in our people, in our values, and in our future,” said Adam Morgan, Vice President of Majesty Music, Inc. a local music publishing company, which he co-owns and operates with his in-laws Ron and Shelly Hamilton. “As a state, we are experiencing unprecedented growth and opportunity and the Upstate is leading the way. We need bold leadership in Columbia to rein in tax burdens and out-of-control government spending and to enact much needed ethics reforms.”
Adam and his wife, Megan Hamilton Morgan, recently welcomed their first child, Ella, to their family last October, and the couple consider pro-life issues and education reforms as primary concerns to their campaign.
Adam Morgan is the current Vice President of Majesty Music, Inc. a Christian music publishing company, and an Upstate attorney who received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. His campaign, Adam Morgan for SC State House Seat 20, is co-managed by his brother Alan Morgan, Vice Chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party and former State Senator David Thomas.
