#LoveColumbia Photo Challenge winners announced

Columbia City Council congratulated the 2018 #LoveColumbia Photo Challenge Winners during the September 4, 2018 meeting
The #LoveColumbia photo challenge winners were announced by the Public and Media Relations Department at a recent City Council meeting. One winner from three social media platforms were recognized on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
The #LoveColumbia photo challenge is a City initiative that encourages citizens of Columbia to submit photos via social media of the images they love in the city. This is the 5th year the #LoveColumbia Photo Challenge has been held.
The Photo Challenge was promoted on the City’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media platforms, where citizens were tasked with submitting images, which included landscapes, structures, buildings, historical monuments and more. Based on the total number of “likes, favorites, retweets, etc.,” there was one photo that was chosen from each social media account. The voting process was driven by citizen participation, which included the option to like, comment, retweet, or favorite the photo of choice.
The following winners were recognized:
- Facebook – Miller Hyatt
- Instagram – Rita Pratte
- Twitter – Anna Peterson
