Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) announced 44 new nonstop routes, including eleven routes to three new cities: Gulf Shores, Alabama, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Columbia, South Carolina. To celebrate this significant expansion, the company is offering one-way fares on the new routes as low as $39.*
The flights, starting in February, will expand the airline’s network options in 51 cities around the country, offering convenient, affordable air service to premier vacation destinations. With many travelers being mindful of their spending, Allegiant is committed to providing budget-friendly options that allow customers to enjoy their dream vacation. Additionally, the airline has added three airports to its network: Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF), Colorado Springs Airport (COS) and Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE).
“The entire team at CAE is beyond thrilled to have Allegiant begin service at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport to two wonderful Florida destinations,” said Vice President of Marketing & Air Service Development, Kim Crafton. “Securing a reputable low-cost carrier with brand recognition like Allegiant is a significant win not only for the airport but the entire Columbia region. We look forward to service starting in May of 2025 and know this partnership will be successful and long-lasting.”
Kim Crafton, the VP of Marketing & Air Service Development at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) talks about Allegiant’s decision to add new nonstop, budget-friendly routes to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
This addition, one of Allegiant’s largest service expansions in its history, is driven by robust leisure demand and the company’s commitment to providing ultra-low-cost airfare to underserved communities with limited or no air service. A core aspect of Allegiant’s business model is to provide service during periods with strong leisure demand, such as holidays, summer, weekends and school breaks.
