January 28, 2026

LRADAC, the designated alcohol and drug abuse authority for Lexington and Richland Counties, is pleased to announce the promotion of Shannon Boone to Vice President of Administration. In her new role, Boone will lead LRADAC’s Human Resources, Operations, and Information Technology functions across all agency locations. Working closely with LRADAC leadership, she will help set strategic goals and evaluate the effectiveness of the agency’s current and future facility, infrastructure, and human capital strategies, while also overseeing regulatory compliance with DPH, CARF, and all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Boone brings more than 20 years of executive-level experience in human resources, talent acquisition, and organizational operations. Since joining LRADAC in 2023, she has played a key role in strengthening workforce systems, streamlining internal processes, and supporting the agency’s mission-driven culture.

“I’m excited about this opportunity to pull together the natural synergies of HR, IT, and operations to enable, empower, and employ team members who serve the patients and community members in Lexington and Richland counties,” said Boone. “In the three years I’ve been at LRADAC, I’ve been impressed and inspired daily by our team’s commitment to removing barriers and providing prevention, intervention, and treatment to all who walk through our doors.”

Prior to joining LRADAC, Boone held senior human resources leadership roles at organizations including Kraft Heinz and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, and began her career as an executive compensation consultant with Buck Consultants. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington & Jefferson College.

“Shannon’s promotion reflects both her exceptional leadership and the confidence we have in her vision,” said Wendy Hughes, President and CEO of LRADAC. “Her ability to align people, systems, and strategy has already

strengthened our organization, and this expanded role will help ensure LRADAC continues to grow responsibly while staying focused on our mission of service and recovery.”
