2024 RIVERBANKS CALENDAR UPDATE
Wild Adventures Abound at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden
Wine Tasting at Riverbanks Botanical Garden: Friday, April 19: 7pm-9:30pm. Now in its 21st year, the 2024 Wine Tasting at Riverbanks Botanical Garden will be the premier springtime gathering. The vintage fundraiser is hosted by Riverbanks Society, the private 501c3 nonprofit that supports the needs of Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. Attendees will sample hand-selected wines and light bites in one of the nation’s most beautiful and inspiring gardens. Tickets are in high demand, and guests are encouraged to reserve their spots today at riverbanks.org/events/wine-tasting.
Members Only Plant Sale: Saturday, April 20: 9am-Noon. The annual Members Only Plant Sale takes place in the Riverbanks Botanical Garden Growing Center located at 1201 Seminole Drive, West Columbia. The choices are plentiful along with descriptions of how to take care of your new floral friends. Plan ahead and check out the top 10 favorites list.
50th Anniversary: Thursday, April 25: 9am-5pm. Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is turning 50 and has plans to celebrate the significant milestone. Throughout the day guests can enjoy engaging activities as part of the anniversary festivities.
Riverbanks Run: Saturday, May 11: 7:15am-9am. Join Riverbanks for the wildest 5k run of the year. Participants are invited to break a sweat to benefit wildlife conservation efforts. For information and to register visit riverbanks.org/events/riverbanks-run.
Members’ Night Out: Friday, May 31, Friday June 14, and Friday June 28: 6pm-9pm. Riverbanks members only are invited for an exclusive opportunity to explore the Zoo after hours for free. Stroll through the Zoo, observe some animals, and enjoy special members-only deals and family-friendly activities. Brew at the Zoo: Friday August 2: 7pm-9:30pm. Tickets for the annual Brew at the Zoo will go on sale June 15, 2024.
