MONCKS CORNER, SC – Marrington Middle School of the Arts has achieved one-to-one! The school now has 499 electronic devices for its students.

Principal of Marrington Middle School of the Arts, Dr. Jim Spencer, said, “This has been a fiscal and academic goal for several years. The realization of this goal would not have occurred without a strong daycare program, which generated the funds, and Berkeley County School District’s Office of Technology, which helped us every step of the way. To all who played a part in making this happen for our students, thank you!”

A widely used term, one-to-one learning, refers to a school, school district or state providing each student with his or her own laptop, netbook, tablet computer or other mobile device to enhance learning experiences (www.edglossary.org).
