Mayor Benjamin to Officiate at Sunday’s “My Faux Wedding” Event, Tickets Still Available

COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia’s Mayor Steve Benjamin will officiate the ceremony at “My Faux Wedding,” hosted by Scott Hall Catering at Corley Mill House, this Sunday, May 17, 4:00-8:00 p.m. in Lexington, S.C.
Guests are invited to crash the most fabulous “wedding” the Midlands has ever seen, featuring an oyster roast, cocktails, rehearsal dinner, dancing and more.
Scott Hall Catering is ushering in a new era at Corley Mill House and Garden as the exclusive caterer at the historic venue, with a new state-of-the-art kitchen.
This fresh, fun bridal showcase alternative allows future brides and grooms – as well as folks who just love a great time – to be the guests, while a mix of wedding industry experts throw the party.

Upon arrival to Corley Mill House, My Faux Wedding guests will be greeted with champagne at the carriage house, then enjoy a rehearsal dinner and oyster roast on Chef Scott Hall’s family farm. A lively, contemporary ceremony (starring “officiator” Mayor Benjamin and “bride” Alicia Barnes of ABC Columbia) will follow, leading into a cocktail hour with light appetizers. The party will flow from the garden to the covered porch and inside the elegant manor house for the catered reception with a dance floor and DJ, cocktails, chef stations and gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres.
Cuisine and event design will be executed by Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Bravo alum Chef Scott Hall, known for his food truck, Bone-In Artisan BBQ on Wheels, as well as his catering work for Palmetto Health, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Columbia Museum of Art. To end the night, guests will savor wedding cake in the gazebo.
