Mayor Pro-Tem Will Brennan elected to Board of Municipal Association of South Carolina

The City of Columbia announced that Mayor Pro-Tem Will Brennan has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Association of South Carolina (MASC). His election was confirmed during the Association’s Annual Meeting held July 16–20, 2025, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Mayor Pro-Tem Brennan will serve a one-year term on the MASC Board, joining municipal leaders from across the state who help guide the Association’s mission to support and advocate for effective local government. The Board is responsible for setting strategic direction, advancing legislative priorities, and overseeing programs that strengthen cities and towns across South Carolina.

“The towns and cities across our state are filled with talented and driven leaders,” said Mayor Pro-Tem Will Brennan. “I’m excited to collaborate with them to highlight the incredible work happening in our municipalities and to ensure that our Statehouse remains a strong partner in sustaining the momentum we’re seeing in every corner of South Carolina.”

The MASC Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping policies and services that benefit South Carolina’s 271 incorporated municipalities. As part of the Board, Mayor Pro-Tem Brennan will contribute to decisions regarding legislative advocacy, municipal training, risk management programs, and statewide initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and improve the effectiveness of local government.
