Mayor Tecklenburg joins the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina’s Shuck-A-Rama Host Committee

The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina (BIASC) announced the addition of Mayor John Tecklenburg to the Host Committee for its 8th Annual Shuck-A-Rama. The Oyster Roast is BIASC’s primary fundraising event for the Lowcountry region, which will take place on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Charleston Visitor Center Bus Shed in Charleston, S.C.

“The work of the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina is important and admirable, and I am pleased to host them in Charleston for their 8th Annual Shuck-A-Rama oyster roast,” said Mayor John Tecklenburg, City of Charleston. “I hope our citizens will consider attending this special event and will join me in my support of this worthy cause.”

The Shuck-A-Rama’s Host Committee is comprised of a diverse and passionate group of leaders who represent various industries. Other members include: Andrew Gowdown, Attorney at Rosen Hagood Law Firm; Emily Gracey, Meteorologist on ABC News 4; and Tate Mikell, a spokesman for BIASC and the Special Olympics.
