McKay Firm Paralegal Selected Into Leadership Position
January 22, 2015COLUMBIA, SC – McKay, Cauthen, Settana, & Stubley, P.A. recognized paralegal Debra White as the new Policy Committee Chairperson for the Palmetto Paralegals Association.
As the Policy Committee Chairperson, Debra is responsible for researching and reporting matters of policy the paralegal practice: ethics, regulations, unauthorized practice of law, and exempt/non-exempt status in South Carolina.
Debra White has been a Paralegal for the McKay Firm for four years. Debra has been a paralegal for over 20 years and has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management.
Of her achievement, Debra stated,”I am excited about this new position and hope to help educate my fellow members about how regulations on the state and national level can impact the Palmetto Paralegal Association.”
The Palmetto Paralegal Association was established in 1988 to promote professional development through continuing legal education and to enhance the recognition of the paralegal profession within the legal community. PPA is the founding member of the South Carolina Alliance of Paralegal Associations.
