McNair attorney elected Chair of South Carolina Bar’s Corporate Banking and Securities Law Section

McNair attorney George Morrison has been elected Chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Corporate Banking and Securities Law Section.

The purpose of this Section is to promote the goals and objectives of the S.C. Bar in the fields of corporate, banking, and securities law. Objectives include stimulating research and development, seeking uniformity in legislation and administration, and improving the application of justice in these fields of law.

Morrison is the leader of the Firm’s Business and Real Estate Practice Group, and he is involved in all areas of corporate practice, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, liquidations, reorganizations and corporate governance. He also has extensive experience advising borrowers and lenders in commercial lending transactions and in the preparation of third-party closing options, whether as local or lead counsel.
