Meals on Wheels Greenville, Disconnect to Connect event
March 19, 2019Meals on Wheels provides more than daily nourishment to its homebound clients. They offer a visit and friendly interaction to individuals who may not otherwise have a chance to speak to anyone that day. The battle is not just against hunger, it’s against loneliness.
Still, many of us don’t understand how disconnected people feel when they are homebound. So on Saturday, March 30, Meals on Wheels Greenville is asking us to take the pledge to disconnect from social media to experience just a fraction of the loneliness homebound clients experience on a daily basis.
Featured here are Amanda Osborne, Director of Development and Catriona Carlisle, Executive Director.
Take the pledge here – https://mealsonwheelsgreenville.org/
Can’t make it 24 hours? Pledge to donate $1 for every hour you can’t stay disconnected.
