Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. holds annual 52 Windows fundraiser

To Benefit Midlands Housing and Homeless Programs

 The Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) is holding its annual benefit, 52 Windows, at 701 Whaley Street on Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m. The event will support MIRCI’s Housing and Homeless Programs.

An evening of art, 52 Windows will feature the works of artists: Ruth Saunders, Lee Monts, Darra Cothran, Luther Williams, Tommie Carr Toner, Elizabeth Borowsky, Chango Harry, Jay Bender, Barbie Mathis and Clare Scurry. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase works by these featured artists in addition to pieces provided by friends of MIRCI.

The event will include a silent auction, heavy hour d’oeuvres provided by Aberdeen Catery, an open bar, and live music by, “The Knott Trio”.

The proceeds raised from the event will benefit MIRCI’s Housing and Homeless services. MIRCI provides services to individuals who are homeless and have a mental illness. The Housing programs help transition individuals, families, and unaccompanied youth into stable supported housing.
