Michael Beaver appointed as Development and Communications Director at A Child’s Haven
January 22, 2018A Child’s Haven is pleased to welcome Michael Beaver as Development and Communications Director. Prior to joining A Child’s Haven, Michael worked for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) as Associate Director of Ride for Kids and helped lead the nationwide motorcycle-based campaign while managing his own event portfolio. Michael specialized in event planning, event management, donor relations and volunteer management.
“A Child’s Haven proactive approach is inspiring. I’m excited to put my nonprofit and media experience to work so we can help children and their families, so these kids have the best chance at success in life,” Beaver said.
Executive Director, Laurie Rovin stated, “Michael will be a tremendous asset to our program as he will focus on establishing new ways to reach community stakeholders who want to get involved with our agency. Additionally, he will reconnect with past donors and volunteers as we continue our journey towards sustainability for children and families as we enter our next 25 years.”
Michael’s career highlights include a decade in radio marketing and promotions with positions in Tallahassee, FL; Jacksonville, FL and New Orleans, LA. He also established a radio fundraising program, which has generated over $1.8 million for the PBTF. Michael’s skill set includes public speaking along with relationship building and maintenance.
