Michal Kalwajtys promoted to Of Counsel with Baker, Ravenel & Bender

Attorney Michal Kalwajtys has been promoted to Of Counsel with Baker, Ravenel & Bender law firm, effective Dec. 1.
Kalwajtys has served in the capacity of associate since joining the firm in early 2023 following its merger with the firm of Dougall & Collins, where he had practiced insurance defense for seven years.
His practice with Baker Ravenel focuses on premises liability, construction litigation, insurance coverage, product liability and appellate advocacy. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as state courts.
He graduated from two law schools – first in his native Poland in 2002, and then from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2012.
He first visited this country in 1997, and immigrated after finishing law school in Poland. He now considers South Carolina as his home. When he has time, he enjoys playing guitar and violin.
