Michelin Grows Total to 77 Awards Since 1989

GREENVILLE, SC – Adding to its already impressive list of J.D. Power original equipment tire customer satisfaction awards, Michelin once again received the industry’s top honors for customer satisfaction, ranking highest in two of the three award-eligible tire segments of the 2015 J.D. Power Original Equipment Customer Satisfaction StudySM. Michelin received the industry’s top honors in the Luxury and Passenger Car segments, scoring significantly above the industry average in each segment.

The 2015 awards bring Michelin’s lifetime total of J.D. Power awards to 77, nearly four times more awards than all other tire manufacturers combined since the study launched in 1989. In addition to this year’s awards in Luxury and Passenger car segments, Michelin has also received awards in several other segments of the study since the study’s inception.

“We believe that Michelin’s success is the result of our relentless commitment to quality, innovation and technical performance,” said Ken Kruithof, vice president of operations for passenger and light truck original equipment tires, Michelin North and South America. “We pride ourselves on working in a collaborative partnership with automotive manufacturers to consistently achieve the highest levels of consumer safety and satisfaction in the industry.”

The 2015 U.S. Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from more than 29,000 original owners of 2013 or 2014 model-year vehicles. The study was fielded in November and December 2014.
