Midlands Mom’s Mobile Laser Tag Business Celebrates First Anniversary & Introducing New Go Go Water Tag
August 17, 2012
LEXINGTON, SC – August 20, 2012 – Go Go Laser Tag, LLC is celebrating its one year anniversary with the launch of its latest backyard game venture – GO GO WATER TAG. This (literally) cool new game can be played in groups of all sizes and by “kids” of all ages (5 years and up.) Go Go Laser Tag provides water guns, high-tech vests (equipped with water-level gage), safety goggles and a variety of team and individual games to play: everything a kid could possibly need to for great day of fun in the South Carolina sun!
In the summer of 2011, Go Go Laser Tag, LLC was created and launched by Miriam Winkler, a Midlands mom with a vision to help provide children of all ages (from 8 to 88!) a fun experience that incorporates teamwork, cooperation, exercise and excitement, all in a game format. Go Go Laser Tag can essentially be described as a travelling laser tag venue with the ability to transform any location into a life-size, walk-through video game event; encouraging kids to “unplug,” get outdoors, and leave their couches and video consuls behind. The whole idea behind is to provide a platform for gamers of all ages to play, pretend, and have plenty of fun, said Miriam Winkler, “one of the things we’ll guarantee is to wear your kids out for you – we send them home ready for a good nights sleep!”
Miriam Winkler, who earned a B.A. degree in Elementary Education as well as a M.Ed. degree in Health and Physical Education from Eastern University in Philadelphia, PA, understands the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. The mother of three has integrated her background in health education into her business model. “In a decade when obesity is becoming more of the common ingredient shared among children at parties and school functions, with Go Go Laser Tag I aim to help bring these digital natives back to the future by combining a good old fashioned backyard game of tag with high tech mp5 rifle style laser guns.” Winkler said. “In the past twelve months the response from the community has been phenomenal. We have now had over 5,000 students playing, laughing and burning calories. It is everything I hoped for.”
Go Go Laser Tag has hosted over two-hundred-and-fifty parties since its inception last year, and this mobile laser tag get-up has proven fun for everyone, offering parties for offices, birthdays, groups and families. Past events include: personalized full-service children’s birthday celebrations (topped off by a delicious laser cake), community activities for elementary, middle and high school students, corporate team builders, training events for teachers, military family functions with Fort Jackson, “lock-ins” at community churches, summer camp appearances, family picnics, family reunions, and much more.
I am excited to continue bringing this interactive entertainment venture to the local community,” Winkler said, “Go-Go Laser Tag is such a great way to bring us all together, to play, have fun and get moving – it brings me great pleasure to see this in action time and time again, and in every location we are invited to host.
