Mike Cashman to Serve on S.C. Bar’s Judicial Qualifications Committee
August 13, 2014GREENVILLE, SC – Womble Carlyle attorney Mike Cashman has been selected to serve a two year term on the South Carolina Bar’s Judicial Qualifications Committee.
The Committee screens candidates for judicial vacancies or reappointment to the administrative law judge division, the family court, the circuit court, the court of appeals, and the Supreme Court of South Carolina. The screening process consists of interviews with members of the bar who are familiar with the candidates’ qualifications, as well as an in-person interview with each candidate. After a review of all candidates, the South Carolina General Assembly elects individuals to fill judicial seats.
Mike Cashman is an experienced business litigator who works in Womble Carlyle’s Greenville office. He represents business clients in consumer finance and financial services, class actions, appellate and general business litigation matters. Cashman has been named by the South Carolina Super Lawyers as a rising star for the past two years, and has recently been elected to serve as a delegate to the South Carolina bar for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
