August 29, 2024

The local early childhood education leader is now Minds in Motion Academy, poised for future expansion and franchise growth

Minds in Motion Learning Center, a child development center founded in Greer, S.C., in 2010 by Melissa and Darwin Eubanks, hosted an Open House last week, in order to showcase their new name and rebrand, and announce their expansion efforts.

With a focus on holistic, early childhood education—including STEM, languages, sustainability and an expanded curriculum— Minds in Motion boasts significant differences in the early childhood learning space in Upstate S.C. The center is the first preschool to host a mindfulness pilot program in the United States, and is also the first early childhood learning center to be a designated WholeSchool mindfulness program, alongside institutions such as Harvard University, American University and the University of Virginia.

At the Open House event, Eubanks noted their acquision of a secondary location in Greer next to Riverside High School, which will house their growing afterschool and summer programs, as well as a K5 readiness program. It is the first of many locations hoped for, as Minds in Motion looks to franchise across the United States in the coming year.

“Over the years, we’ve been able to do what few other childcare centers have done, and by focusing on the whole child, we are developing young adults who are self-sufficient, kind, driven and successful,” Eubanks said. “As of today, Minds in Motion Learning Center will now be known as Minds in Motion Academy—allowing us to grow into the charter school market, expand our locations, and communicate broadly that a focus on the child—not the milestones—is what makes a difference.”

As of now, Minds in Motion Academy is located at 2106 Old Spartanburg Rd in Greer, as well as at 1271 S Suber Rd in Greer.
